Green Internships

Green Careers Internships: The Ulster County Office of Employment and Training’s Young Adult Employment Program has launched a new program–Green Careers Internships. The focus of this program will be to place young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 into green jobs /careers and assist them in receiving additional training at either SUNY Ulster’s Green Careers Academy or at Ulster BOCES Green Career Pathways certificate programs. Ulster YouthBuild: Program components include: HSE/TASC preparation, leadership development, life skills training, case management/counseling, on-the-job construction skills training and more. The program assists young people 16-24 who are our-of-school and meet income eligibility requirements. Program serves Ulster County residents.

Empower Kingston Green Jobs Internship: Citizens for Local Power offers a paid 4-week internship where interns gain hands-on experience in a variety of green trades, working with a group of committed local contractors. Interns earn $15/per hour for onsite work and online instruction. Citizens for Local Power accepts applicants 18+. Apply Here

CEEP Partnership Matchmaker Program:  The Internship Matchmaker and Management Program ‘matches’ early career professionals with local non-profit organizations to advance sustainability efforts, including Hudson Valley counties, cities, towns and villages. We connect funding to ensure equitable opportunities in the workforce and provide project management training and oversight to ensure satisfying outcomes for everyone.  Our program is designed for a spectrum of early-career professionals seeking project experience, including: students who are still in school and seeking college/course credit, recent graduates looking for work experience, and experienced professionals with interest in expanding their skills.  We encourage veterans and BIPOC candidates to apply.  Learn more and apply here.

Summer Youth Employment Program GREEN TRACK: Seasonal employment opportunity for youth ages 14-20 where participants must meet income eligibility requirements.
